About the event
Yalla Tikva (“Go Hope”) was founded during a pivotal time in Israel to stand for truth, creativity, and hope. Using digital tools and innovative campaigns, Yalla Tikva works to defend democratic values, amplify moderate voices, and restore public confidence that Israel can be both Jewish and democratic, secure and liberal. Their work spans civic engagement, media outreach, and educational initiatives, reaching a wide audience with messages of pluralism, responsibility, and optimism for the future.
Avner Stepak is a seasoned leader in the Israeli capital markets and FinTech sector. He is one of the two controlling shareholders and was the CEO of Meitav Investment House, Israel’s largest asset management firm. He also serves on the board of eToro (Nasdaq: ETRO). Additionally, Avner is a social entrepreneur and philanthropist who has established several non-profit organizations in Israel. He currently acts as Chairman of the Berl Katznelson Foundation. Avner earned an MBA from Tel Aviv University and Northwestern University.
Ran Har Nevo is an Israeli entrepreneur, content creator, and social activist. He began his career as a combat navigator in the Israeli Air Force and later served as an instructor and course commander at the flight school. After leaving the military, Ran studied philosophy and computer science before transitioning into journalism and eventually tech entrepreneurship. In 2006, he co-founded 5min Media, a short instructional video company that was sold to AOL in 2010 for about US $65 million; he then served as Vice President and later President of AOL’s video division. In 2023, in response to the political climate surrounding Israel’s 37th government and its proposed judicial reforms, Har Nevo founded “Yalla Tikva,” a content-creation organization producing online videos and podcasts to mobilize public discourse and protests.
Don’t miss this chance to engage with leaders from Israel and bring their perspective into our community.
