"Sadot"
Mission To Israel
On Jan' 8th We will launch a special and one of a kind mission, designed and created for Brooklyn community leadership, to show solidarity and to support the Israeli community, during one of the most hardest hours of our nation.

The program was created by the Jewish Agency for Israel and funded by the UJA Federation of NY.

About The Program
"Sadot"-Open Fields in Hebrew, Symbolizing the potential, the hopes and our expectation. If we will work in the field, plant seeds and water it, We will harvest the fruits of our efforts.

In the Last years, in front of our eyes, the Middle East has changed: peace agreements have been signed between Israel and the UAE, Bacharein and Morocco, a new government was been elected in Israel and major developments have occurred in the Palestinian Authority.

In the spirit of Peres’ vision, we propose a unique journey for the Brooklyn
communities’ leaders, of three days in Israel, one day in the Palestinian Authority and three days in the United Arab Emirates.

We know that first hand experiences on the ground in Israel and related places have an immeasurable impact on leaders' confidence to bring Israel conversations to their communities. By giving the community leaders a nuanced view of the changes that have taken place in Israel, including with its own government, we will empower them to effectively engage their communities in the Israel conversation.
Similarly, by visiting Dubai, the leaders will witness for themselves how Israel’s relationships with other countries have changed and be able to speak to the broader geopolitical picture.

In addition to engaging with Israel, the trip will strengthen the participants' relationships with each other, building a stronger overall Brooklyn Jewish community infrastructure.

Our main objectives of this journey will be to examine the changes, experience the situation “on ground”, and explore the changes through our personal lenses and perspectives.

The 3 circles we will explore: the relationship of Israel and Arab-Israelis, the relationship of Israel and the Palestinian Authority, and the relationship of Israel and the Arab World.
